Poetry 365 Challenge: a poem a day - 2015

Introduction

The challenge is simple. Write a poem a day in 2015. Collect them together in one book. There are no prizes other than self achievement and fun! There are no hard rules to style or content. Heck, if you only manage one poem a week that's ok as well. Encourage others via social media/followers to share in this challenge. See 'introduction' for more details.

I've had this idea for a challenge. Simply write a poem a day in 2015. First poem on 1st January, second poem on 2nd January and so on!

I started this on Inkvite but couldn't leave out my Wattpad or Movella buddies, and I present it here now on my website JamieKnightOnline.com to read for free.

There is no real prize as such, just the adventure of expression, and bettering ourselves as writers.

I'm no poetry expert but used to enjoy writing poems in school. So thought this could be fun and a good way of improving writing skills.

There are no major rules, you can write in any style of poetry you like, as long and short as you like.

Please share on social media and with your followers if you feel so inclined.

Note: my poems are only semi-biographical, where I care to admit to which ones and how much is another story. If something sounds good I'll go with it to fit the theme of the poem. So, sometimes it might sound really 'heavy' when the reality isn't so. Sometimes it's just a story I've made up like a short novel in poetry form. I'll leave you guessing which is which.

To give us some help I found this list of different poetry types and their rules from www.youngwriters.co.uk:
